The practice
Dr. Votim Shehu
Dentist · founder of the practice
The practice runs on one rule: nobody leaves without knowing what is going to be done, how many visits it takes and what it costs. You get the plan in writing, and it does not change along the way without being said out loud.
We work in Albanian, Italian and English — no interpreter and no misunderstandings, including if you are flying in for the treatment.

- Electronic, tooth by tooth, with a written treatment plan
Your first visit, step by step.
It is the appointment people put off the longest, so here is the whole of it before you book. Nothing on this list is done to you without being explained first.
You tell us what brought you in
Before anything is looked at. If it has been years, say so — it is the most common reason people come, and nobody here is going to make a point of it.
A full examination
Every tooth and the gums around them, and a radiograph where there is something that cannot be seen from the outside. It takes about half an hour and none of it hurts.
What we found, tooth by tooth
Written into your chart as we go, per tooth rather than as a paragraph — so what was found today is in front of us at the next visit, and at the one after that.
The plan, and the price
In writing, in the order things matter: what needs doing now, what can wait, and what only needs watching. The price is agreed here rather than at the end.
You decide
Nothing is started at the first visit unless you want it started. Take the plan away, think about it, ring us back — it stays on your record either way.
The rooms
Have a proper look around.
The rooms you would sit in, the equipment that would be used, and the people who use it. Filter the set if you would rather see one than the other.

How we work
How the work is done.
Two things that are true of every appointment here, whatever you came in for.

Written down, tooth by tooth
Your chart is electronic and it is kept per tooth, so what was found last year is in front of us this year. The plan that comes out of it is given to you in writing before anything starts.

Sterilised between patients
Instruments are cleaned, packed and sterilised after every use, and single-use items are exactly that. It is the floor rather than a feature — but it is the question people are too polite to ask.

Three languages, no interpreter.
A treatment plan explained through a relative on a video call is how somebody ends up agreeing to work they did not understand. Everything here — the examination, the plan, the instructions for afterwards — happens in whichever of these three you are most comfortable in.
Shqip
The practice's own language, and the one the records are kept in.
English
For patients from the UK and Ireland, and for everybody who lands somewhere in between.
Italiano
A short flight from the other side of the Adriatic, and a good share of our patients make it.
Come and have it looked at.
Tell us what is bothering you and we will ring you back during opening hours. Nothing is started before you have the plan in writing and the price agreed.
