Root canal treatment
The canals are cleaned and sealed to the tip of the root. The tooth stays yours.
When decay reaches the nerve the tooth is not lost — the canals are cleaned out, shaped and sealed to the tip of the root. It is done under anaesthetic, and it is the treatment that ends the pain rather than the one that causes it. A back tooth is usually crowned afterwards, because what is left of it is thinner than it was.
People come to this when:

How long it keeps you
Appointments, days in Vlorë, and months from start to finish.
An indication, not a quote. What it actually takes depends on the examination — and you get the plan, how many visits, how long and what it costs, in writing at the first visit.

How it goes
The three steps every treatment here has: what is looked at first, what happens in the chair, and what you leave with.

Diagnosis
The X-ray shows how far the infection has gone and how many canals the tooth has.

Cleaning the canals
Under anaesthetic. The canals are cleaned, shaped and sealed to the tip of the root.

Covering it
The tooth is closed, and on a back tooth a crown usually follows it.
Where it happens
The chair, the instruments, the bench behind them and the people who use them — the part of a treatment a paragraph cannot show you.
Illustrative photographs. Pictures of the practice are on the way.

Not a sales list — what most often goes with this, or the other honest answer to the same problem.
Come and have it looked at.
Tell us what is bothering you and we will ring you back during opening hours. Nothing is started before you have the plan in writing and the price agreed.
